Background

            U.SEUM is an online e-commerce retailer selling customizable smartphone cases. It was founded by Miss Pongkhwan Yardmak, a 26-year-old entrepreneur who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in arts, in 2014 with her partner during the second year of studying at university.

            The store’s name “U. SEUM” derived from the word “Museum” without the alphabet “M”. The store sells hand-painted smartphone cases that can be customized by request. It was shut down for a while as she wanted to focus on her study. She shifted to sell branded clothes in the meantime as it takes less time. After graduation, she had enough funds to put into further investments to provide better efficiency for the store and better quality for customers. Therefore, its online e-commerce stores act like an art museum itself.

            The main reason for the establishment of the store was because she believes that she has the skills and ability in both business aspects and creating unique products for customers. She believes that there are people who will admire this type of art the same as her, as it gives a unique essence to the products which distinguish them from the others.
